World-class service for gas springs
Product development in close cooperation
Management services, technical customer support and sales support for industrial gas springs takes place at Lesöfors Gas & Stock Springs in Stockholm, Sweden. This company has overseen gas spring management since the 1980s, building an extensive knowledge base in the process. Since 2010, Greg Lehman has been responsible for developing a dedicated and professional customer support team at the site.
“The optimal solution for each application is often reached through direct contact with the customer's product developers. I notice the customers´ appreciation of the fast service we can provide, such as calculations or solids in 3D CAD, which directly can be lifted into the customer's project layout. We can also deliver product samples within just a few days,” says Greg Lehman.
Combination of standard products and customisation
Lesjöfors´ gas springs division is now prospering, which is a result of extensive production and market investments in recent years. The strong offering has also actively been promoted on the company web site and in other media to show that Lesjöfors does not just offer "regular" springs.
“Since 2006, the production of our gas springs is carried out through a joint venture with a South Korean company. Since then we have also started up our own production in Latvia. It is a unique strength, because the two factories are complementary and give us the best of both worlds. We have local and rapid production of standard products and simple prototypes, but also flexible specialized production of custom-made items,” says Anders Parmbro, Product Area Manager at Lesjöfors Gas & Stock Springs.
