Kiekert awards Lesjöfors Slovakia for outstanding performance

03/05/2018 For the third time, Lesjöfors Slovakia has been awarded as one of the best suppliers to global company Kiekert. In 2017, Lesjöfors was the second best supplier in Europe.

Kiekert AG is a leading producer of latch closing systems to the automotive industry worldwide. Kiekert works only with suppliers and partners who live up to very high quality standards. Lesjöfors Slovakia is for many years an approved supplier to Kiekert.

Third time award winner

Annually, Kiekert organizes the Kiecup competition for its suppliers. Kiekert has more than 100 suppliers in Europe. The supplying companies are evaluated in eleven categories including quality, achieved PPM*, number of complaints, price levels, etc. The maximum score is 100 %. Lesjöfors Slovakia landed on an honorable second place in Europe for 2017 with 97.56 %. This is the third time Lesjöfors Slovakia has received the award.

Our manufacturing and administrative staff is extremely skilled, both at a technical and organizational level”, says Ján Mačuha, MD of Lesjöfors Slovakia.

Global spring supplier

Lesjöfors supplies torsion springs to car door locks for Kiekert globally. In 2017, Lesjöfors delivered 95,071,266 springs to Kiekert.

At a ceremony in Nemčice, Czech republic on April 26 2018, the award was handed over to the staff at Lesjöfors Slovakia.

Lesjöfors Slovakia specializes in the production of cold coiled springs. The production program includes wire forms in the dimensions from 0.4 to 2.3 mm, compression springs and tension springs in dimensions 0.1-5.0 mm and springs from strip steel in the dimension 10 mm x 1 mm.



*PPM = valuation of supplier quality in delivery performance. The lower the score the higher quality. Lesjöfors´ PPM 2017 for Kiekert was 2.2.
